Intro
This teaching and learning portfolio presents a structured and comprehensive plan for delivering the VCE Media curriculum, with a particular focus on developing students’ understanding of narrative and media production design. The portfolio integrates a weekly planner, annotated resources, and curriculum-aligned learning outcomes to ensure that the learning program is both engaging and academically rigorous. It draws upon the VCE Media Study Design (2025–2029) to guide the development of tasks that build critical analysis skills, creative production capabilities, and media literacy. The planned learning sequence balances theory and practice, enabling students to critically examine media narratives while applying industry-standard techniques to their own creative projects. Throughout, the portfolio emphasises active, student-centred learning strategies, scaffolded skill development, and authentic assessment opportunities. This approach supports diverse learners, fosters collaboration, and encourages reflective practice, ensuring students are well-prepared for both assessment requirements and real-world media production contexts.
